This Nova Scotia lakeside waterfront Cottage is situated on Fancy Lake on the South Shore, not far from Bridgewater in Lunenburg County. The Lake is connected to the Atlantic Ocean by the Petite Riviere. In late spring, Salmon travel up the Petite Riviere River and through the lake to their spawning grounds. The shoreline of our picturesque lake is wooded, and it is an area of secluded Cottages and Homes.

The guests of our waterfront rental cottage are impressed by the quiet location and private setting of the Cottage and the magnificent view from the Cottage over the lake. You can even watch the Loons on the lake from the bed in your bedroom. There is a little beach area to get in and out of the lake, be it to go for a swim or to take a trip with the canoe. (Canoe is provided free of charge.)

The Cottage is perfectly located as vacation spot to simply relax and forget the world, or to explore the picturesque towns in the immediate vicinity or the country side and shore line of the South Shore of Nova Scotia from Liverpool to Peggy's Cove and beyond (Lighthouse Route).

The new18 hole Golf Course, as well as the World Heritage town of Lunenburg, the enchanting little town of Mahone Bay and many magnificent beaches of the South Shore, are all within very easy reach. Our smaller Olde Town Golf Course is only 3 minutes from the Cottage. It is not far to the Kejimkujik National Park with it's hiking trails,  canoeing or swimming, to the beautiful Seaside Adjunct National Park, or to whale watching boat trips or a kayak school with daily trips through the La Have Islands. The nearby town of Bridgewater, the "Main street of the South Shore", offers great shopping, Restaurants, a Museum and up to date medical services.

· The cottage is located right on the lake. The interior is entirely built from pine with a cathedral ceiling in the living room. The kitchen contains a two burner electric stove, large refrigerator/freezer, micro wave/oven, coffee maker, toaster, plus all required cutlery and china as well as kitchen towels.

· Our cottage has two bedrooms: a master bedroom with a Queen size bed, and another bedroom with a Double bed. It has a full bathroom with tub/shower and toilet. Towels (and of course all bedding) are provided by us. The living room has a large picture window which allows a magnificent view over the lake. It is furnished very comfortably and contains a 27" TV set (cable), VCR, and a radio. The cottage is heated by electric baseboard heaters.

· Next to the cottage is a little picnic area with lawn chairs, a wooden picnic table and a gas barbecue.

· Housekeeping is done by our guests.

Season: Mid May-Mid October
Pets are not accepted. Smoking on the veranda only. Minimum rental period is one week. Maximum 4 people!
Because of the closeness of the cottage to the lake, we are very reluctant to accept children!!

Rental rates per week (Saturday to Saturday): (for 2 persons)  
May to June 28:                                 C$ 640.-
June 28 to September 01                    C$ 750.-
September to October        C$ 640.-
Each additional person:                              C$  20.- per night
To guarantee a reservation, we require a deposit of a one week's rent.
